Ram Volleyball Splits First Two Games of the Season
The Victor Valley College volleyball team secured a well-deserved victory against Citrus College on August 31st, 2024. The final score was 3-1 in favor of Victor Valley, with the team showcasing their skills and teamwork throughout the match.
Leading the charge for Victor Valley was Alayja Hall, who contributed 11 kills and 10 digs to help secure the win. Mariana Aguirre also had a strong performance, adding 6 kills and 4 blocks to the team's efforts. Samantha Ponce and Maya Blodgett each added 5 kills apiece, showcasing the team's depth and versatility on the court.
Setter Krystal Shurtliff played a crucial role in orchestrating the team's offense, tallying 30 assists and 3 service aces. Defensively, Shamicah Rensulat was solid all night, with 22 digs and Rayleigh Lyon stood out with 14 digs, providing crucial support in the back row.
Overall, the Victor Valley College volleyball team displayed a strong performance against Citrus College, showcasing their skills and determination on the court. With key contributions from multiple players, the team looks poised for a successful season ahead.
