VVC Volleyball Kicks Off Season with Alumni Game

Our Lady Rams kicked off their 2023-24 season with an Alumni game against some of our former Lady Ram Alum. Our Alumni Team beat our Lady Rams in 3 out of 5 sets. Many of these former lady Rams were from the 2005 Championship team.

"Our alumni game was an eye opener and a great experience", says Coach Head Coach Kelli Papeirnik. "We were able to see how amazing our program was back in the early 2000's. Coach White was able to pull a team together and they played like they had just practiced together the day before. We started out a little nervous and timid, but we pulled it together in the 2^nd set. After experimenting with different lineups, we dropped the last match. It was great seeing everyone have fun! We are looking forward to a great season and appreciate Coach White and her expertise of the game".

Championship coach Christa White came out of retirement to coach the alumni team. "It was great seeing these ladies again. These women are a big part of VVC Athletics tradition and history. I had a great time coaching them again." Coach White has 7 conference championships in 27 years as VVC Head Coach.

Our lady Rams open up this Friday August 25th at Antelope Valley College at 6:00pm.
