Volleyball Dominates the Week

VICTORVILLE, CA - Last week, the VVC Volleyball team showcased their dominance on the court with two impressive victories against Copper Mountain and Chaffey. These wins not only solidified their position as a force to be reckoned with but also propelled them to a tie for first place in the IEAC conference.

In their game against Copper Mountain, VVC Volleyball displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, resulting in a resounding victory. The team's offensive prowess was on full display, as they recorded an impressive 55 kills throughout the match. Leading the charge was Reivensymone Ili, who delivered a remarkable performance with 15 kills. Ili's powerful spikes and precise hits consistently troubled the opposition, leaving Copper Mountain struggling to find an answer.

The VVC Volleyball team's defensive efforts were equally praiseworthy. Their solid blocking and exceptional digs limited Copper Mountain's opportunities to score, resulting in a remarkable 12 blocks and 41 digs. Lacy Olivas, played a crucial role in the team's defensive success, contributing an outstanding 11 digs.

The game against Chaffey was another testament to VVC Volleyball's dominance. The team's offensive firepower was simply unstoppable, as they recorded an astonishing 30 kills throughout the match. Reivensymone Ili, delivered another standout performance with an impressive 16 kills. Ili's ability to find open spaces and exploit the gaps in Chaffey's defense proved to be a game-changer.

Defensively, VVC Volleyball continued to excel. Their exceptional blocking and solid backline defense limited Chaffey's scoring opportunities, resulting in an astounding 7 blocks and 60 digs.  Shamicah Rensulat, played a pivotal role in the team's defensive success, contributing an impressive 20 digs. Rensulat's tenacity and ability to read the game allowed her to make crucial stops, frustrating the Chaffey offense.

As the season progresses, VVC Volleyball's impressive performances and exceptional statistics serve as a clear indication of the growth this season. After winning only 2 games last year, our Lady Rams currently have a winning record at 6-4 on the season. Their offensive firepower, strong defense, and remarkable teamwork make them a formidable opponent for any team in the IEAC conference.

The Lady Rams continue conference play this week with an away matchup at San Bernadinro Valley College on Wednesday.
