Two Lady Ram Doubles Teams Move on to State

Walnut, CA

The Victor Valley College Women's Tennis team faced tough competition at the South Coast Conference finals held at Mt San Antonio College, with all singles competitors being eliminated in the first round. However, the team bounced back in the doubles competition, with both teams representing VVC earning spots in the CCCAA State Championship at Ojai.

In the doubles quarterfinals, the team of Rensulat and Robles from VVC fell to one the the doubles teams from Mt. SAC with a score of 8-0. Additionally, the team of Burfield and Raya from VVC lost to the doubles team from Mt. SAC in a close match that ended 9-8 (3).

Despite these losses, the VVC doubles teams showed resilience in the play-in matches. The team of Burfield and Raya defeated one of the doubles teams from El Camino with a score of 8-4, while the team of Rensulat and Robles emerged victorious against the other doubles team from El Camino with a score of 8-5.

Overall, the Victor Valley College Women's Tennis team rebounded from the singles matches while showing determination and skill in the doubles competition, and earning spots in the CCCAA State Championship. The Lady Rams are excited to compete in Ojai.
