Head Coach
Coaching History: VVC women’s head coach 2014 – present. VVC men’s head coach 2012-2013 VVC women’s assistant coach 2006-2010 Granite Hills girl’s assistant soccer coach 2007 VVHS girl’s head soccer coach 2001-2005. Won 3 DSL championships. 3 years ODP district five recruiter and G16 coach Coached teams that played in New Zealand, Australia and England
Achievements: Started the Victorville youth soccer league and was president for 4 years 2007 conference champions VVC women's soccer 3 DSL championships with VVHS 2006 Manchester United champions G16 USSF "B" level coaching license USSF "A" level coaching license (audited due to ankle injury) Advanced National diploma from NSCA
Coaching Philosophy: Philosophy towards coaching: he loves teaching the technical and tactical aspects of the game on a competitive level. Also promote safe playing environment, camaraderie, sportsmanship, respect to fellow athletes, coaches and officials. Mainly encourage the players to stay in school and achieve an education alongside playing collegiate athletics.
Family and Personal Information: Married to Hassana Jomaa a NICU nurse at St. Mary's. Has 2 children, a boy and a girl and now one grand daughter. Speaks 8 languages. Lives in Spring Valley Lake in Victorville. Loves all sports especially soccer and practices many water sports like kitesurfing and scuba diving. On a professional level Walid is an electrical engineer, graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981 and worked for the Department of Water and Power for 30 years and he retired in September 2011.
