Women's Soccer Dominates in First Win

PORTERVILLE, CA – In a commanding performance on September 1, 2023, the Victor Valley College Women's Soccer Team showcased their prowess on the field as they triumphed over the Porterville College squad with an impressive final score of 8-1.

From the very first whistle, it was clear that the Victor Valley College team was determined to secure a resounding victory, and their exceptional teamwork and individual skills did not disappoint. Under the clear Porterville skies, the Victor Valley squad played with unmatched passion and dedication.

The Victor Valley offense was on fire, with an array of players contributing to their substantial goal tally. Vanessa Piceno led the charge with a hat-trick to her name, displaying incredible skill and finesse. Piceno opened the scoring early, netting an unassisted goal that set the tone for the match. She later teamed up with Raylene Amezqua to extend the lead even further. Amezqua showcased her striking prowess by adding another goal to her name, demonstrating her exceptional teamwork with Piceno.

Daisie Lara wasn't to be outdone, as she also claimed a brace of goals, one of which was unassisted, while the other came courtesy of an assist from Raylene Amezqua. Michelle Vazquez and Makenzie Bohn rounded out the scoring for Victor Valley, adding their names to the scoresheet.
