Ram Wrestling Continues to Dominate

Title: Dominant Performance: Victor Valley College Rams Wrestling Team Triumphs Over Bakersfield College

In a thrilling display of skill, determination, and teamwork, the Victor Valley College Rams Wrestling team secured a resounding victory against Bakersfield College on October 25th, 2023 in the VVC Gym. The Rams showcased their prowess, delivering an impressive 41 to 18 win in front of a packed crowd. This outstanding performance solidifies the Rams' position as a formidable force in state.

From the opening whistle, it was clear that the Rams were determined to dominate their opponents, winning its first 4 matches. The team's energy and focus were palpable as they launched into their respective weight classes, ready to showcase their skills. The atmosphere in the Victor Valley College gymnasium was electric, with fans eagerly anticipating an enthralling contest.

The Rams wasted no time in setting the tone for the evening, securing a series of impressive victories in the early bouts. Wrestlers from both teams displayed immense technical proficiency, executing a range of takedowns, reversals, and escapes. The crowd erupted with applause and cheers as the Rams consistently outmaneuvered their opponents, amassing points with each strategic move.

Several Rams wrestlers stood out during the match, delivering exceptional performances that fueled the team's success. Notably, Shea Gabriel (184 lbs), Anthony Deleon (197 lbs), and Luciano Esoldo (149 lbs). Each of these young men contributed to the dominant win by winning each of their individual matches on the night. 

The resounding 41 to 18 win against Bakersfield College is a big statement as we get closer to post season play. In the last State Rankings, our Rams were #7 in the State. The next match for our Ram Wrestlers will be Saturday Nov 4th at Menlo College for the Menlo College Open.
