Rams Show Out at CCCAA State Championships

Wrestling showed up and showed out on CCCAA State Championships this past weekend, December 10 and 11. Owen Firm wrestled hard but had two tough losses in the first round and consolation match. Firm is a freshman wrestling in HWT division and we have high hopes for him in the 2022 season. 

Alex Cardoza wrestled at 125lbs and started the State Tournament off with a first period win. He continued on to another first period win in his sceond match and continued wresting for a state medal. After competing in the finals, Cardoza took 8th place in his division. 

Jose Cisneros wrestled at 141lbs. He had a big first period fall in the quarters and continued on to wrestle in the state semi-finals on Saturday. Cisneros is an All-American and took 4th place in his division. 

Head Coach Humphrey and Assistant Coach Chilton did a great job with the young team composed of all Freshmen this year. We are very excited to see how the team progess for the 2022 season.
