Women's Basketball's Season Come To An End
**Victor Valley College Rams Women's Basketball Team Wraps Up a Stellar 2024-25 Season**
The Victor Valley College Rams women's basketball team capped off a remarkable 2024-25 season with a distinguished record of 22-7, securing a commendable second place in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC). This season was a testament to the team's unwavering dedication and skill, as they consistently outperformed many of their opponents and showcased their prowess on the court.
The Rams' journey this season was marked by the exceptional performances of their sophomore players, Atalia Thomas, Kayleen Vasquez, Aspyn Roberson, Karoline Ellison, Myla Gibson, and Natalie Galaviz. Each of these athletes brought their unique talents to the team, contributing significantly to the Rams' successful season. Their leadership and experience were pivotal, not only in terms of scoring but also in mentoring the younger players.
In the final game of the regular season against East Los Angeles, the Rams showcased their fighting spirit despite a narrow 61-59 loss. Atalia Thomas led the charge with an impressive 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Aspyn Roberson added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Karoline Ellison was instrumental in controlling the boards, securing 12 rebounds and providing 6 assists. The game was a testament to the Rams' resilience and ability to compete fiercely until the final buzzer.
Throughout the season, the Rams displayed formidable statistics, with a field goal percentage of 38.3% and an average of 72.2 points per game. Their defense was equally noteworthy, with a defensive efficiency of 0.728, and they averaged 14 steals per game, indicating their tenacity and vigilance on the defensive end. The Rams' bench also made significant contributions, averaging 20.4 points per game.
