Victor Valley College Women's Basketball Team Ranks #20 in CCCWBCA Poll

The Victor Valley College Women's Basketball team has started the 2023-24 season with a bang, securing an impressive #20 ranking in the first California Community College Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) poll. This recognition highlights the team's expectations but there is a lot of work to prove that the Lady Rams deserve to be ranked even higher.

Under the guidance of head coach Troy Hall, the Victor Valley College Rams have been making waves in the competitive world of community college basketball. The team's remarkable performance in the early stages of the season has caught the attention of the CCCWBCA, earning them a spot among the top 20 teams in the state.

The recognition from the CCCWBCA poll is not only a testament to the team's current success but also a reflection of the program's continuous growth. Coach Hall and his staff have been working tirelessly to develop a winning culture at Victor Valley College. Their emphasis on player development, both on and off the court, has resulted in a cohesive unit that is capable of competing at a high level.

The #20 ranking is just the beginning for the Victor Valley College Women's Basketball team. With their sights set on further accomplishments, the Rams are determined to climb even higher in the rankings and make their mark in the state tournament. The team's strong work ethic and unwavering dedication ensure that they will continue to improve and strive for excellence throughout the season.

The support of the Victor Valley College community has played a significant role in the team's success. The fans' enthusiasm and presence at games have provided an extra boost of motivation for the players. The community's unwavering support has created an atmosphere of camaraderie and unity, making Victor Valley College a formidable opponent for any team they face.

As the season progresses, the Victor Valley College Women's Basketball team will continue to face tough challenges. The team has started 5-1 on the year and coach Troy Hall believes the team should be 6-0. "We are still learning how to finish games. The loss to Ventura is an example of us not finishing the game. We will get better". The Rams only loss on the season was a 50-49 loss to Ventura College.
