Lady Rams Back in the Winning Column

After falling to Mt San Jacinto on Saturday January 27th, the Lady Ram Basketball team bounces back with a 71 to 47 win against San Bernardino Valley February 3rd. 

The Lady Rams improve their record to 20-6 overall and 7-1 in their conference, and are hopeful for a playoff spot as the season begins to wind down. 

The game started off strongly for Victor Valley, as they scored 21 points in the first quarter compared to San Bernardino Valley's 9 points. The second quarter saw a similar pattern, with Victor Valley adding 17 points to their total and San Bernardino Valley scoring 13 points. At halftime, Victor Valley had a comfortable lead of 38-22.

The third quarter continued to be dominated by Victor Valley, as they added 22 points to their total, while San Bernardino Valley only managed to score 13 points. Going into the final quarter, Victor Valley had a commanding lead of 60-35. In the fourth quarter, both teams had a lower scoring output, with Victor Valley scoring 11 points and San Bernardino Valley adding 12 points.

For Victor Valley, several players made significant contributions to the team's victory. Aaliyah Wright scored 12 points and had 4 rebounds, while Taneah Johnson added 11 points and led the team with 12 rebounds. Ebony Black-Smith was the leading scorer for Victor Valley, with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Karoline Ellison and Moriah Burley also made valuable contributions, scoring 8 and 12 points respectively.

Overall, the Lady Ram's strong offensive performance and balanced scoring led them to a decisive victory over San Bernardino Valley. They played well as a team, with multiple players stepping up and contributing to their success.
