Lady Rams Lose on Buzzer Beater

Victorville, CA

The Lady Rams lose to the Mt San Antonio Mounties by a heart breaking last second second shot. This comes after the Lady Rams were up by 7 points with less than one minute left on the clock.

The Lady Rams played tough throughout the game as they went back and forth with Mounties after falling to a 16 to 8 deficit to end the first quarter. Following the first quarter the Lady Rams went on a 37 to 28 run going into the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter was full of excitement as both teams battled, trading tough 3-point shots and strong drives to the basket. Unfortunately, the Lady Rams were unable to hold on. After the Lady Rams missed two free throws with 7 seconds on the clock, the Mounties grabbed the rebound and took it all the way down the floor and make a bank shot from 7 feet behind the line.

Although the Lady Rams lost, there is a lot to be hopeful for. Mt San Antonio is the #2 team in the State of California, and #1 in Southern California. This shows how competitive the Lady Rams can be this season. The lady Rams currently sit at #17 in the state of California.

The Lady Rams look to get a win Wednesday, January 3rd at home against Rio Hondo College at 5:00pm.
