Lady Rams' Women's Basketball Team Prepares for Another Competitive Season

As the upcoming women's basketball season approaches, the Lady Rams of Victor Valley College are gearing up for another competitive and exciting campaign. Building upon last year's successes and the talent they have witnessed during training, the team has high expectations for the season. With a focus on playing for each other and being aggressive on the court, the Lady Rams are ready to face any challenges that come their way.

The Lady Rams will kick off their season with a game against LA Pierce on November 6, 2023. Last year, Victor Valley College emerged victorious against LA Pierce with a stunning 86-18 scoreline. However, this year, LA Pierce appears to be stronger and more determined. Despite this, the Lady Rams are confident in their abilities and are prepared to take on the challenge head-on.

The Lady Rams have several standout players who are expected to make a significant impact this season. Ebony Black-Smith, Moriah Burley, and Aaliyah Wright are among the key athletes who will contribute to the team's success.

Moriah Burley and Aalyah Wright, both returning for their sophomore year, had an impressive performance last season, earning second-team all-conference honors. Their experience and skillset will be vital in leading the team to victory.

Freshman players Taneaha Johnson and Natalie Galaviz bring their athleticism and height to the team. Standing at 6'2", Johnson will be a force to be reckoned with as a center. Galaviz, also over 6 feet, will complement Johnson's skills, showcasing her own athleticism on the court.

Lexie Murphy, a returning sophomore, will take on the role of the scoring guard for the Lady Rams. Her ability to find the basket and contribute points will be crucial in securing victories for the team.

Defensively, Aspyn Roberson, a top returning defender, is determined to lock down the opposing offense. Her tenacity and defensive prowess will play a vital role in stifling the opponents and creating opportunities for the Lady Rams.

With a talented roster and a strong focus on playing for each other and being aggressive, the Lady Rams of Victor Valley College are poised for another competitive women's basketball season. The team is ready to make their mark on the court. As the season unfolds, fans can expect thrilling matchups and impressive performances from the Lady Rams as they strive for success.
