Rams Softball is Ready for a Promising Season
**Victor Valley College Softball 2025 Season Preview: A Promising Year Ahead**
As the 2025 softball season approaches, excitement is building around the Victor Valley College Rams. The team, under the leadership of Head Coach Adam Santa Cruz, is poised for a transformative year, beginning with their season opener against Antelope Valley College on January 28th at 2:00 PM.
The Rams are welcoming back a key player from last season, Rebekah Godwin, a versatile utility player hailing from Granite Hills High School. Her experience and adaptability on the field will be crucial as the team aims to elevate their game and achieve new milestones.
Adding to the team's strength are several promising recruits who have already begun to make their presence felt. Among them are Haylee Stanislawski, an outfielder from Silverado High School; Hope Merrill, a dual-position catcher and third baseman from Sultana High School; Mikayla Cuellar, a second baseman from Silverado High School; and Brooke Miller, another outfielder from Barstow High School. These new additions have quickly embraced the team's culture, bringing enthusiasm and a fresh perspective that has invigorated the squad.
Coach Santa Cruz is particularly excited about the energy and potential these recruits bring. "They have adopted our culture quickly and support one another through the good and the bad," he notes. This camaraderie, combined with their competitiveness at the plate, is expected to result in significant offensive contributions. The team is eager to see these efforts reflected on their new scoreboard, which promises to light up with impressive statistics throughout the season.
The Rams have set ambitious goals for 2025, with winning the conference title at the forefront. Improving last year's overall record is a priority, but the team's aspirations extend beyond mere numbers. The focus is on building the softball program's foundation while nurturing a positive environment that champions both athletic and personal growth.
"I am confident that this will be our best season yet in regards to experience and overall culture," says Coach Santa Cruz. The commitment and hard work shown by the athletes so far have set the stage for what promises to be an exciting and rewarding season.
As the Rams prepare to step onto the field for their first game, fans and supporters can look forward to a season filled with passion, resilience, and the thrill of watching a team on the rise. With strong leadership, a blend of seasoned talent, and fresh faces ready to make their mark, Victor Valley College's softball team is set for a memorable 2025 campaign.
