Lady Ram Softball Wins Close One in First Game

In a thrilling college baseball game on January 29, 2024, the Lady Ram Softball team emerged victorious with a 7-6 win over Golden West. The match, held at Golden West College, showcased an intense battle between the two teams. With a strong offensive performance and a solid pitching effort, Victor Valley secured their first win of the season.

The game started with Golden West taking an early lead in the first inning. The Rustlers jumped out to a 2-0 advantage.

Golden West extended their lead to 5-0 in the following innings, but the Lady Rams kept fighting. Victor Valley quickly countered in the fourth inning, scoring five runs to tie the game. Emily Ferguson's two-RBI single and Emelyn Gonzalez's RBI single were the highlights of Victor Valley's comeback.

The game remained tied until the seventh inning when Alyssa Garcia hit a two-run homer, giving Victor Valley a 7-5 lead. In the bottom of the seventh, Golden West managed to reduce the deficit to one run, but ultimately fell short as Victor Valley secured the 7-6 victory.
