Tough Loss to Citrus

Citrus College's soccer team was victorious in a match against Victor Valley on September 29, 2023. The final score was 3-0 in favor of Citrus. The game took place at Citrus Stadium in Glendora, California.

Citrus had a strong start, scoring two goals in the first half. Sammy Ghandour opened the scoring in the 12th minute, assisted by Isaac Ochoa. Hector Guevara added a second goal for Citrus in the 40th minute, with assists from Sammy Ghandour and Jose Alvarez-Novales.

In the second half, Eduardo Marquez scored the third and final goal for Citrus in the 68th minute, assisted by Alan Lira. 

The Victor Valley Rams struggled to generate scoring opportunities, managing 10 shots in the game. Goalkeeper, Daniel Hernandez, made two saves but conceded two goals in the 15 minutes he played before being substituted by Sebastian Guzman. Guzman made three saves but allowed one goal in the remaining 74 minutes of the match.
