**Victor Valley College Men's Golf Team Sets Historic Record at OEC Match**

In a landmark performance at the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match held at the prestigious Navy Golf Course, the Victor Valley College Rams men's golf team etched their names into the history books. Hosted by Cypress, this tournament saw the Rams deliver an outstanding team performance, culminating in a record-breaking score of 387—the lowest in the college's history.

Leading the charge was Cory Rose, who dazzled with an impressive 3-under-par 69, earning him the title of first-place medalist. Rose's precision and composure on the course set the tone for the Rams, inspiring his teammates to rise to the occasion.

Not far behind, Tyler Thomas showcased his skill and consistency, carding a notable 1-under 71. His performance further solidified the Rams' dominance in the tournament, as he navigated the challenging course with finesse.

Dallas Yardley contributed to the team's success by shooting a solid 7-over 79, making him the third Ram to break into the 70s. Meanwhile, Sherman Cline rounded out the team's score with an 82, demonstrating the depth of talent within the squad.

Coach Derrick Williams expressed his pride in the team's historic achievement, emphasizing not just their current success, but the potential for even greater accomplishments. "The Rams are getting better," Williams remarked, "but what's more exciting is the room for improvement. This is just the beginning."

The team's remarkable performance has set a new standard for Victor Valley College golf, and their momentum is undeniable as they prepare for their next challenge. The Rams will head to Soboba Springs on Wednesday, March 12th, for another OEC Inland match, this time hosted by Mt. San Jacinto.
