Men's Basketball Season Preview

The Victor Valley College men's basketball team is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 season under the leadership of head coach William Funn. This season marks Coach Funn's first recruiting class since taking over the program, and he is eager to see what this talented group of players can accomplish on the court.

Key returners for the Rams this season include guards Jordan Malveaux from Adelanto High School, Sheldon Grant from Aquinas High School, and Jordan Clayton from Summit High School. These players bring valuable experience and leadership to the team, and Coach Funn is counting on them to help guide the younger players.

One of the most anticipated aspects of this season is the addition of key recruits Raoul Churchill from Riverside Prep High School, Derrick Hankins from Desert Pines High School in Nevada, and Angullio Guerra from Hesperia High School. These talented guards are expected to make an immediate impact on the court and help elevate the team to new heights.

Fans can expect an exciting and competitive brand of basketball as the Rams strive to achieve their goals and make their mark in the conference.

The Rams kickoff the season with a scrimmage game against the University of Redlands developmental team on Friday, October 18th. The first regular season game is at Santa Monica College on Friday, November 1st at 6:00pm.
