We are pleased to announce that former VVC Men's Basketball student athlete, Alahagie Janko Drammeh has recently signed a full scholarship to the University of Western Washington. Janko's achievement marks a significant milestone in the tenure of Prentice Harris as Head Coach of the VVC Rams basketball program, as he is the first student athlete to receive a scholarship under Coach Harris's leadership.
Last year, Janko's outstanding performance earned him a place on the honorable mention team in the IEAC Conference, where he played a crucial role in the Rams' improved win totals compared to the previous year. Additionally, the team achieved the runner-up position in the Antelope Valley tournament and showed commendable progress in their conference placement.
Originating from Germany, Janko joined Victor Valley College and pursued an associate degree as a Math and Science major. Notably, he demonstrated his academic prowess by making the honor roll in the spring semester with a commendable 3.2 Grade Point Average while completing 15 units.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Janko on this remarkable accomplishment and wish him continued success in his academic and athletic endeavors.
