Men's Basketball Falls to Chaffey

In a highly anticipated matchup, Chaffey College dominated Victor Valley College with a final score of 114-86 on December 20, 2023. Chaffey's strong offensive performance and solid defense allowed them to secure a comfortable victory.

The Rams were fighting to keep pace early but Chaffey took control of the game, leading 60-44 at halftime. VVC did have some standout performances in the loss. Mardochee Sambou was a standout player for VVC, scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Alijah Gonsalves also had a strong performance, scoring 14 points and dishing out 2 assists.

There was some promise from the Rams in the game as they never quit throughout the game. . Other players that showed some fight were Jordan Malveaux with 15 points and Sheldon Grant's 8 points. Victor Valley's shooting percentage of 47.5% was respectable, but they struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 18.2% from three-point range.

Both teams showed resilience and determination throughout the game, and the Rams plan on using this game to help them improve as the season progresses.
