Rams football falls to Desert
Desert High School dominated the football game against Victor Valley, winning with a final score of 49-21. Desert had a strong offensive performance, scoring consistently throughout the game.
The first quarter started off with a touchdown by Desert's Jelani Brown, giving Desert a 7-0 lead. In the second quarter, Victor Valley responded with a touchdown of their own, an 18-yard pass from Landon Webster to Omari McCullough. Major Brown made the extra point, tying the score at 7-7. However, Desert quickly regained the lead with a 69-yard pass from Devonte Armstrong to Frankie Valentino. Armendariz's extra point was good, bringing the score to 14-7 in favor of Desert at halftime.
The third quarter saw Desert extend their lead significantly. Victor Valley managed to score a touchdown in the third quarter as well, with Jacob Staley catching an 18-yard pass from Webster. Brown's extra point was successful, making the score 28-14. However, Desert quickly responded with two more touchdowns. Victor Valley managed to score one more touchdown in the fourth quarter, a 5-yard pass from Tremel Echols to McCullough. Brown made the extra point, bringing the final score to 49-21.
The Rams continue to play hard, however, unable to lock in a victory. Nov 11th will be the Rams final opportunity for a win against Chaffey College. This weeks game vs Compton has been issued a forefeit by Compton, giving the Rams an extra week to prepare for Chaffey College.
