Uphill Battle vs Santa Ana

Santa Ana came out on top of Victor Valley in a football game held at Apple Valley High School on October 14, 2023. The final score was 53-6 in favor of Santa Ana.

The game started off slow, with both teams unable to score in the first quarter. However, Santa Ana quickly turned things around in the second quarter, scoring 22 points. Owen Smith started the scoring spree with a 6-yard run, followed by a successful 2-point conversion rush by Smith himself. James Farmer then caught a 77-yard pass from Dallen Engemann, and Aaron Hotchkiss made the extra point. Victor Valley managed to score a touchdown with a 1-yard run by Landon Webster, but their 2-point conversion pass failed. Santa Ana responded with a 23-yard pass from Engemann to Cannon King, extending their lead to 22-6 by halftime.

In the third quarter, Santa Ana continued to score. Engemann connected with Malachi Pierce for a 12-yard touchdown pass, followed by another touchdown pass to James Farmer for 48 yards. Owen Smith added another rushing touchdown with a 2-yard run. The third quarter ended with Santa Ana leading 43-6.
