Rams Clinch Walk-Off Victory Against Mt. San Jacinto

On April 3, 2025, the Victor Valley Rams delivered a thrilling walk-off victory against Mt. San Jacinto, winning the game 6-5 in dramatic fashion. Joseph Conti drove in the winning run with a double down the middle field to seal the victory.

The game began with both teams struggling to find their offensive rhythm. However, the Rams broke through in the second inning when Eric Logsdon walked, allowing Jordan Domingue to score. This set the stage for a pivotal fourth inning, where the Rams exploded for four runs. Domingue reached base on an error, allowing Johnny Barriento to score, and shortly after, Omar Rosas hit a two-run homer, extending Victor Valley's lead to 5-0.

Despite their early dominance, the Rams faced a challenge as Mt. San Jacinto began to mount a comeback. The Eagles clawed back with a run in the fifth inning and another in the sixth, narrowing the score to 5-2. The tension escalated in the ninth inning when Mt. San Jacinto rallied, scoring three runs to tie the game at 5-5.

Just when it seemed the momentum had shifted, the Rams showed their resilience. With the game on the line in the bottom of the ninth, Conti stepped up and delivered a crucial double, allowing Rosas to cross home plate and clinch the victory for Victor Valley.

Standout Performances

Omar Rosas was undoubtedly the star of the night, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs. His performance not only energized the team but also proved pivotal in the victory. Eric Logsdon contributed significantly as well, going 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Jordan Domingue rounded out the offense with a key run scored and a double in the decisive ninth inning.

On the pitching side, Paul Montoya started strong, tossing seven innings with ten strikeouts and only allowing two earned runs. His performance laid the groundwork for the Rams' early lead. Fernando Cabrera and Zachary Viramonte each faced challenges but managed to keep the Eagles at bay long enough for the Rams to pull off the win.
