The Victor Valley College Ram baseball team gets much needed victory in a close one against Barstow College April 16th, 2024.
The game started off with the Rams taking an early lead in the first inning with E. Logsdon scoring on a wild pitch. Barstow managed to tie the game in the third inning, but the Rams pulled ahead in the fourth inning with runs from A. Gully and D. Rivera.
In the sixth inning, the Rams extended their lead with more runs from D. Rivera, J. Manzo, and A. Olivares. Barstow tried to mount a comeback in the seventh and eighth innings, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Rams lead.
Pitching wise, A. Puett earned the win with 10 strikeouts over 7 innings. L. Riggs closed out the game with a save.
Overall, the Rams strong offensive performance and solid pitching led them to victory over Barstow in this matchup.
