VVC Baseball Wins Third Straight

The Victor Valley College Baseball team secured their third straight win on Saturday, March 9th, with a hard-fought 11-8 victory over Barstow College. The win improved Victor Valley's record to 6-11 overall and 3-6 in conference play, while Barstow dropped to 2-20 overall and 0-8 in conference.

The game got off to a strong start for Victor Valley, as they jumped out to an early lead with a run in the first inning and four more in the second. The team continued to pile on runs, scoring four more in the third and two in the fifth to take a commanding lead. Barstow fought back late in the game, scoring four runs in the eighth and two in the ninth, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.

Offensively, Victor Valley was led by D. Dominguez, who had a standout performance with a home run and two RBIs. J. Manzo and J. Domingue also contributed with key hits and RBIs to help secure the win.

On the mound, A. Puett picked up the win for Victor Valley, pitching seven strong innings and striking out an impressive 16 batters. K. Rose, I. Razo, and L. Riggs also saw time on the mound for Victor Valley, combining for 11 strikeouts in the game.

Looking ahead, Victor Valley College Baseball will face off against Cerro Coso College in an upcoming series. The team will look to carry their momentum from the win against Barstow into the series against Cerro Coso and continue their winning streak.
