VVC Baseball Suffers Tough Loss to Start Season

The Ram Baseball team struggled in their first game of the season with a 7-0 loss to Mt. San Antonio.

Mt. San Antonio dominated the game, scoring runs in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings. The Rams did have some bright spots according to Coach Nate Lambdin. "I feel like we played really well despite the score. We were able to generate some hits but did not convert them into runs". The Rams had a total of 6 hits in the game to the Mounties 13.

Mt. San Antonio is a solid team and it was a great test in Coach Lamdin's first game as the new head coach for the Rams.

Their pitchers, L. Riggs, I. Razo, K. Rose, E. Bonilla, C. Castaneda, and D. Rivera, were unable to contain Mt. San Antonio's strong offense, allowing a total of 7 runs.

In terms of individual performances, D. Rivera and R. Tulacro were the top hitters for Victor Valley, each contributing 2 hits.

The Rams take on Rio Hondo in Whittier, CA on Tuesday January 30th.
