Artie Allen

Athletic Director, Victor Valley College

Artie Allen has been a leader in the High Desert athletic community since 2014, serving as Athletic Director at Victor Valley College since 2022. Under his direction, VVC Athletics has grown student-athlete enrollment by over 25%, restored Title IX compliance by doubling female participation, and launched innovative support programs that raised average GPA by 13%.

During Artie's tenure as Athletic Director, Victor Valley College has seen transformative facility upgrades, including the construction of a new stadium, major renovations to our baseball and softball complexes, a new locker room and stadium fieldhouse, and new scoreboards for all teams—ensuring our student-athletes have access to top-tier resources and a truly elite experience.

With over 15 years of coaching experience, Artie’s teams have achieved remarkable success. At VVC, he rebuilt the football program, recruiting 80 athletes in two months and increasing local representation to 90%. Previously, at Chaffey College, he helped lead the team to a 21-game winning streak and a perfect 11-0 season. At Oak Hills High School, he guided the team to its first-ever CIF Championship. Artie has also coached at New Mexico Highlands University and Arizona Western College, mentoring numerous athletes who advanced to four-year programs.

In addition to his coaching achievements, Artie had served as a Kinesiology faculty member for eight years, developing curriculum, teaching a wide range of courses, and supporting student success in and out of the classroom.

Artie holds an M.A. in Sports and Exercise Science (Sports Administration Emphasis) and a B.A. in Kinesiology. He is dedicated to helping student-athletes reach their academic and athletic goals and preparing them for success beyond college. Artie and his wife, Amber, are proud parents to Alijah and Arielle.
