Rams Women’s Soccer Overpowers Oxnard in 4-2 Victory

Victor Valley College Women's Soccer delivered a thrilling performance under the lights on Friday, September 12, 2025, defeating Oxnard College 4-2 at home. The win improves the Rams' record to 3-3-2 and showcased the team's offensive depth and defensive resilience.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
The Rams wasted no time asserting control, striking first in the 9th minute when Violet Whiting netted her first goal of the season off an assist from Haley Pratt. Just 18 minutes later, Skye Hernandez doubled the lead with a composed finish, assisted by Whiting, giving VVC a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Second-Half Surge
The Rams continued their offensive pressure in the second half. Haley Pratt added a goal of her own in the 55th minute, unassisted, showcasing her ability to create and finish. In the 77th minute, Islet Montes capped off VVC's scoring with a solo effort to make it 4-0.
Oxnard responded late with goals from Monica Botello and Jennifer Rojas, but the Rams' early dominance proved too much to overcome.
