Bio

Coach Kevin Barda returns to VVC after coaching the Rams from 1998 to 2013, winning three women’s Foothill Conference titles and being named Foothill Conference Coach of the Year twice. 

Coach ran for Yavapai Community College (Prescott Arizona), placing 5th at NJCAA XC Nationals and Grand Canyon University (Phoenix Arizona) in cross country (All-Region honors) and track & field (conference runner up at 10,000 meters). 

After his first tenure coaching at VVC, Coach was the women’s assistant XC/T&F coach at CSU San Bernardino (2014-2018) where he coached a regional cross country individual champion as well as multi-time All-American, XC and T&F, athlete.

Coach Barda also coached Anthony Solis to a 9th place overall, 5th American, at the 2023 Los Angeles Marathon.

Kevin is still an active competitor in running and races as often as his schedule allows. Coach has ran a 2:23:06 marathon and also has completed an Ironman Triathlon.

Coach Barda has a daughter, Raylen, who is 11 years old.
