Bio

Deion Hill will enter his first season as the Defensive line Coach and Video Coordinator for Victor Valley College Football in 2023.

As a player Hill earned All-State as a Junior and Senior in Football and second team All-State in Basketball as a Senior and earned multiple Division 2 scholarships in Football and Basketball. Hill left Orange County High School as a 4 sport athlete and 4 year letterman in Football, Basketball, and Baseball (Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track). As A Freshman in high school, Hill was a member of the Football, Basketball, and Baseball that went to the State Tournament for playoffs in the same academic school year. Hill still currently holds the record for most varsity game appearances at Orange County High School.

Hill committed to Virginia State University to continue to play football for the Trojans, where he saw time as a freshman on special teams and in the rotation as a Defensive End earning All-CIAA accolades. The Trojans made it to the National Quarterfinals that season, won the CIAA championship, and beat FCS Norfolk State that year. After 3 semesters at VSU, Hill transferred to Glenville State University where he continued to play Defensive Line for the Pioneers for the remainder of his undergraduate career. While at GSU the Pioneers made consecutive NCAA playoff appearances, and statistically the best two defensive seasons in school history leading the nation in turnovers, sacks, and tackles for loss. Hill also served on the Student Athlete Governing Body at GSU as an elected official, and received academic honors at both universities and graduated with a 3.32 GPA and earning his certificate as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

After graduation at GSU Hill medically retired and went to University of La Verne where he would then work as a student analyst for the Leopards. Hill is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Education Leadership with a focus in Physical Education.

After his first season at La Verne, Hill was offered a position as the Co-Defensive Coordinator at Monterey Trail High School and coached the Defensive Line for the Mustangs after completing the Intercollegiate Defensive Summit. In his first and only season with the Mustangs, Hill’s defense led the conference in all defensive statistics allowing less than 200 yards per game and allowing on 9.3 points per game in conference and Co-players of the year on the Defensive Line while having 10 players receiving post season accolades. The Mustangs Defensive Line produced six all conference performers for the first and second team Metro Conference.

Hill currently resides in Victorville
