Bio

Artie Allen has been living in the High Desert since 2014. Allen was the interim head coach for the 2021 season.  Before coming to VVC, Allen was at Chaffey College as the Associate head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback coach for a total of 7 years. Coach Allen has also been a teacher in the Hesperia Unified School District since 2015. 

Other places Allen has coached are his alma mater New Mexico Highlands University, Arizona Western College, Oak Hills HS, and Carter HS. Throughout his coaching experience, Allen has helped mentor Division 1 athletes from both offense and defense.

Allen has a M.A. in Kinesiology w/ Emphasis in Athletic Administration, B.A. in Kinesiology w/ Emphasis in Teaching, and a Secondary Teaching Credential in Physical Education and Social Sciences.

Allen played HS football at Rialto and Bloomington HS. He played at Chaffey College and earned a scholarship to play two years at Division 2 New Mexico Highlands University. 

Allen has a track record of helping student athletes reach their academic and athletic goals and helping them transfer to 4-year schools. He is excited about the opportunity to take VVC athletics to an elite level of success on and off the field. 

Allen and his wife, Amber, have two children, Alijah and Arielle.
